| Abstract | this article presents a summary of the 28th Antarctic treaty consultative meeting in Stockholm. Concerns over conservation of the Southern Ocean, Antarctica and subantarctic regions were discussed. Environmental conservation measures at new research stations and plans for the upcoming International Polar Year were also discussed at the meeting. (mte) |
