| Abstract | Discusses changes to Antarctica's ice sheets and ice shelves as result of climate warming. Describes mass-budget and volume- change methods of measuring changes in ice sheet mass and role of new satellite-based techniques in improving precision of measurements. Considers future challenges in surveying changes in mass of ice sheets and predicting future rises in sea- level. |
