| Abstract | Icebergs spotted 70 kms north of Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2006 are believed to be pieces of Iceberg A-43A, which broke off from its parent iceberg, A-43, in May 2001. A-43 broke off from the Ronne Ice Shelf in 2000, and was 16 km long by 32 km wide. The article briefly traces the icebergs' route from Antarctica to New Zealand. (lel) |
