| Abstract | This issue of Terra Nostra presents the program and abstracts of the 9th international symposium on Antarctic Earth sciences entitled Antarctic contributions to global Earth science. Held in Potsdam in September 2003, themes of the symposium included: Mechanisms of continental growth; Paleo-environment of Antarctica, causes and effects of climate change; Antarctic Earth sciences observatories; Antarctic data bases and maps; plume-lithosphere interactions and intra-plate rifting; Antarctic neotectonic, the ANTEC programme of SCAR; Changing Gondwana margins through accretion, break-up and dispersion; and Land beneath the ice, 99% of Antarctica.
